Deakin’s Master of Leadership is designed for experienced professionals who value the importance of effective leadership and its impact on organisational success.

This new kind of online postgraduate degree uses Professional Practice credentials to recognise the knowledge you’ve acquired through learning and experience. Coursework and reflection enhance your approach to leadership by strengthening your skills and capabilities.

Upon completion, you’ll be able to apply what you learn to make an immediate impact on leadership challenges in your workplace.

Entry requirement

Entry into the Master of Leadership degree will be based on:

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline and at least three years of relevant work experience#, OR
  • Deakin's Graduate Certificate of Leadership

# Applicable to applicants with a bachelor degree. Work experience must be full-time (or equivalent part time) senior managerial leadership with a high level of operational and strategic leadership responsibilities.

Course structure

You will complete four core units, two Professional Practice Credentials and four stackable short courses, or four core units, four Professional Practice Credentials and two stackable short courses. 

To gain a Professional Practice Credential, you must demonstrate the capabilities you’ve acquired in a leadership role.
